Urban brings over 18 years of experience as a leader in higher education<\/em><\/p>\n

\"DavidChicago (July 10, 2023)<\/strong> \u2013\u2013 AllCampus<\/a>, a leading higher education services provider partnering with top-ranked institutions to make higher education more affordable, accessible and equitable, today announced the addition of David Urban, Dean Emeritus of the Jennings A. Jones College of Business, Middle Tennessee State University to its advisory council. <\/p>\n

David brings extensive experience as an academic administrator to the AllCampus advisory council. Before joining the council, David served as dean of the Jennings A. Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), where he oversaw strategic planning, administrative structure, operational processes and academic affairs. He was also responsible for external affairs for the college, including marketing, fundraising and alumni affairs. <\/p>\n

While at MTSU, Urban helped transform the university\u2019s MBA program into a flexible opportunity for prospective students, with 12-month accelerated and 100% online options. He also pioneered MTSU\u2019s exclusive Dale Carnegie Initiative, which improves soft skills by requiring all undergraduate business majors to complete the Dale Carnegie Course in Human Relations and Communication as part of their degree. Prior to his work at MTSU, David served at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business in roles including professor, chair for the marketing department, interim dean and associate dean. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always been passionate about providing flexible learning opportunities to students,\u201d said Urban. \u201cHigher education is in a transformative period, and as more students explore multimodal learning options, I\u2019m looking forward to making different learning experiences more accessible and affordable in my new role on AllCampus\u2019 advisory council.\u201d<\/p>\n

As a member of the advisory council, Urban will advise current and prospective university partners on curriculum and program design, and work with AllCampus\u2019 leaders to provide recommendations on the company\u2019s own growth and advancement. Since its inception in 2021<\/a>, the advisory council has become an integral part of AllCampus\u2019 mission to lower the cost of higher education by developing high quality programs at the most affordable cost in the industry to students.<\/p>\n

\u201cDavid has an impressive record of enacting change at the university level,\u201d said Joe Diamond, CEO at AllCampus. \u201cWe\u2019re very excited to welcome David to our growing advisory council and are looking forward to leveraging his deep expertise in the education space.\u201d<\/p>\n

Urban holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a concentration in marketing from the University of Virginia, a Master of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from the University of Michigan. <\/p>\n
